Office of Retention Programs

The Early Alert program is one of many efforts designed to assist students at NIU. Its purpose is to interact with faculty during the 6th and 12th weeks of each academic semester to identify students who may be demonstrating a need for support to successfully complete course requirements. The ORP will contact each student referred by a faculty member to extend whatever type of support deemed necessary to assist the student. It is collaborative effort to enhance the academic success rate of students.
