  • Orientation

    A one-day summer orientation program that entering students attend to meet with academic advisers, schedule classes, tour campus, take placement exams, and meet with upper-division students and representatives from a variety of campus offices to gain an overview of their new environment.
  • Welcome Days

    A smorgasbord of fun filled activities meant to entertain and inform incoming students that occurs when residence halls open the Thursday before the beginning of fall classes.

  • First Year Connections

    A highly interactive freshmen orientation course that assists students with the transition from high school to college and addresses adjustment issues (i.e., time management, autonomy, exam preparation, campus resources, residential life, and more).

  • Student Faculty Links Program

    A mentoring program that helps students to connect with faculty and staff on an informal basis. Your mentor can help you learn how the university functions and what it takes to succeed. Mentors can help you connect with resources and opportunities for involvement, answer academic and personal questions. Also mentors can assist you in setting goals and serve as a guide and a source of support.!
